Our Mission
Our Mission: A New Standard for Food, Health, and the Future
At Produce Now, we exist to confront one of the most pressing—and often overlooked—public health issues of our time: the cumulative impact of chronic toxicity from our food system.
Every day, we are exposed to trace levels of pesticides, herbicides, synthetic additives, and other contaminants through the food and water we consume. According to the CDC’s National Report on Human Exposure to Environmental Chemicals, pesticide residues have been detected in the blood and urine of a majority of Americans, indicating widespread, consistent exposure.
"Pesticide metabolites were found in more than 90% of the U.S. population sampled."
— Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Fourth National Report on Human Exposure to Environmental Chemicals
This silent exposure is now being linked to rising rates of neurodegenerative disorders, developmental conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, widespread gut dysbiosis, and obesity. Research continues to uncover how these chemicals may disrupt the gut microbiome, affect neurological development, and contribute to long-term systemic inflammation.
"The rise in chronic diseases—many of which are preventable—has paralleled increased exposure to environmental toxins and a shift in diet toward ultra-processed foods."
— National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Many of us—including our own team—have experienced firsthand the toll of poor gut health caused by diets high in artificial additives and low in clean, living foods. It’s not just about short-term discomfort. It's about how these exposures echo through generations—affecting not only our own health but potentially that of our children and grandchildren.
We believe in a better way forward.
Produce Now is committed to delivering pesticide-free, herbicide-free produce, grown in a sealed, controlled environment using advanced vertical farming techniques. Our mission is to restore trust in food, eliminate contamination from the source, and provide communities with nutrient-rich, clean produce—year-round.
This isn’t a trend. It’s a movement toward a healthier, more resilient future. Because health is wealth, and food should never be a risk factor.
